Under the low-power magnification of 5X of a digital Keyence scope , this photograph depicts the colonial growth displayed by Gram-negative Yersinia pseudotuberculosis bacteria, which were cultured on a sheep blood agar (SBA) medium, for a 24 hour time period, at a temperature of 37°C. Of importance is that this culture plate had been contaminated by a Gram-negative Proteus sp. bacterium.
