There is no medical treatment for angiomyolipoma; the mainstay of therapy is surgical resection or embolisation.
Treatment
There is no treatment for angiomyolipoma; the mainstay of therapy is embolisation or resection. Angiomyolipomas found incidentally usually require no therapy. Patients with loss of renal function should be monitored for:
- Hypertension
- Adverse effects of nephrotoxic drugs such as:
- NSAIDS
- IV contrast agents
