- Physical exam and history.
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Computed tomography (CT) scan.
- Positron emission tomography (PET) scan.
- Bone scan.
- Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.
- X-ray.
- Complete blood count.
- Blood chemistry studies, such as lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)
