Overview

Hepatocellular adenoma may be classified according to the rate of occurence into four subtypes: Inflammatory hepatocellular adenoma, HNF1-alpha mutated hepatocellular adenoma, Beta-catenin mutated hepatocellular adenoma and unclassified hepatocellular adenoma.

Hepatocellular adenoma may be classified into four subtypes based on the rate of occurence.

The table below lists subtypes of hepatocellular adenoma:

Inflammatory hepatocellular adenoma	Most common Highest rate of bleeding
HNF1-alpha mutated hepatocellular adenoma	Second most common
Beta-catenin mutated hepatocellular adenoma	Least common Associated with: Men on anabolic steroids Glycogen storage disease Familial adenomatous poliposis
Unclassified hepatocellular adenoma
