  • History of Paget disease of bone or irradiation


  • Hemorrhage, fibrosis and cystic degeneration
  • Areas of bone formation
  • Poorly formed trabecular bone
  • cellular pleomorphism and mitoses


  • Metaphyseal regions of femur and tibia
  • Medullary and cortical bone destruction
  • Wide zone of transition with a moth-eaten appearance
  • Sunburst and codman triangle
  • Tumor matrix ossification/calcification


  • Tender, warm, palpable mass
  • Limited range of motion
