Myelofibrosis has a very indolent course.^[1]

Common complications of myelofibrosis include:^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]

Prognosis of myelofibrosis is poor. The median survival for myelofibrosis is 3.5 years to 5.5 years, but patients younger than 55 years have a median survival of 11 years.^[5]
