Prevalence and Incidence

• The prevalence and incidence of busrsitis varies according to the location, which may be influenced by the patient’s age and gender.

Age

• Prepatellar bursitis can affect all age groups.

Olecranon bursitis affects middle-aged people (between the ages of 30 and 60 years).

Gender

Male are more commonly affected with prepatellar bursitis than women. Olecranon bursitis occurs equally in males and females.

Race

There is no racial predilection to the bursitis.
