Overview
Allergic colitis is most commonly caused by allergy to cow's milk protein. Twenty to forty percent of patients with allergic colitis, have allergy to both cow's milk protein and soy protein.[1]
Causes
The most common cause of allergic colitis is cow's milk protein allergy, which accounts for 50% to 65% of reports. Cow's milk protein and soy protein together account for about 75% of the causes. [2][3]
