Routine screening is recommended for asymptomatic HIV positive individuals and for all the individuals having increasedA risk of infection.

Screening

Routine screening is recommended in the following individuals:

• HIV positive (annually)
• Multiple sexual partners
• Unprotected sexual intercourse
• Illict drug use
• Previous history of STD
• Individuals receiving care in highly prevalent areas
