Overview
Surgery
Primary sclerosing cholangitis is a progressive disease that ultimately leads to end-stage liver disease (ESLD). Endoscopic management can be targeted for dominant strictures or as palliative treatment. However, current gold standard of treatment for primary sclerosing cholangitis is liver transplantation. Despite live transplantation, disease may still recur in these patients.
