Overview

HEENT

Pharynx shows erythema, hypertrophy, foreign body, exudates, masses, petechiae, and adenopathy.

Diphtheria: Examination reveals a serosanguineous nasal discharge and a grayish-white pharyngeal membrane (exudative and extending to the uvula and soft palate) in association with pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and cervical lymphadenopathy.
