MRI findings of pyogenic liver abscess include:

• T1

• Hypointense centrally
• Heterogenous

• T2

• Hyperintense signal
• High signal intensity on T2 weighted images signifies perilesional edema

• T1+C(Gd)

• Enhancement of the capsule
• Multiple septations

• DWI

• High signal within the abscess cavity

• ACD

• Low signal within the abscess cavity
