Acid Fast Staining
Demonstration of acid fast bacilli in the CT guided biopsy specimen sample confirms the diagnosis.
Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests (NAAT)
- Heterogeneous group of tests that use polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect mycobacterial nucleic acid.
