Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms of rubella infection include:

• Low grade fever
• Skin rash which starts on the face and spreads to the rest of the body
• Sore throat
• Lymph node swelling in the neck
• Headache
• About 25 to 50% of people infected with rubella will not experience any symptoms.
