Common physical examination findings of PID include abdominal tenderness, cervical and adnexal motion tenderness. In more severe cases, fever and rebound tenderness may also be observed.

Fever in severe infections
Abdomen
Abdominal tenderness especially in lower abdomen
Decreased bowel sounds
Genital
- Cervical motion, uterine, and adnexal tenderness on bimanual pelvic examination
- Purulent endocervical discharge and/or vaginal discharge
