Ray moved to Manila, Philippines from Indonesia to pursue a double degree in Medicine and Business Administration at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his medical internship training at the Medical City, where he also finished his electives in molecular and regenerative medicine and operation management. In 2016, he was certified as a general practitioner by the Professional Regulation Commission of the Philippines

Ray has experience working in both tertiary hospital and community setting, as well as creating evidence-based medical education content, writing scientific platforms and strategic business research, and teaching medical students at his alma mater. His extracurricular has been focused on child empowerment and project- based, strategic management consultation.
