Overview
Head, abdomen and lung CT may be helpful in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis. Findings include nodular and ring-enhancing lesions with surrounding edema neuro schistosomiasis, calcified capsules in hepatosplenic schistosomiasis and interstitial fibrosis in pulmonary schistosomiasis.

Head, abdomen and lung CT may be helpful in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis.[1]
Head CT scan
Head CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of neuro schistosomiasis. CT scan of the brain in CNS schistosomiasis may demonstrate nodular and ring-enhancing lesions with surrounding edema.[2]
Abdomincal CT scan
Abdominal CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of intestinal schistosomiasis. CT scan of the liver in hepatosplenic schistosomiasis may demonstrate calcified capsules.[3]
Pulmonary CT scan
Pulmonary CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis of pulmonary schistosomiasis. CT scan of the lung in pulmonary schistosomiasis may demonstrate interstitial fibrosis.
