Overview

- Testing modalities include:
- Amniotic fluid testing
- Oligonucleotide hybridization of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) which is obtained from chorionic villus biopsies. In this method, fetal DNA is extracted from maternal blood through noninvasive methods.[1]
