• Computed tomography (CT): CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis can be done to assess for enlargement of the liver and spleen, which sometimes occur in thalassemia.
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): MRI of the abdomen and pelvis can be done to assess for enlargement of the liver and spleen, which sometimes occur in thalassemia.
