Overview
Gallbladder cancer is one of the most common malignancy of the biliary tract, representing 80%–95% of biliary tract cancers worldwide.
Discovery
- The association between calcium deposits and gallbladder cancer was made during 1797.[1][2]
- In between 1922–1956 4,271 cholecystectomy samples were collected adenocarcinomas were noted.
