Overview
Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of cyanosis include measuring deoxygenated hemoglobin, oxygen saturation, arterial blood gas to check PaO2, hematocrit, electrolyte imbalance.
Laboratory Findings
- Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of cyanosis include:
- Complete blood cell count
- Reduced/ deoxygenated hemoglobin level of 5 g/dL[1]
- Oxygen saturation ≤85%
- ABG: to check for PaO2
- Hematocrit
- Electrolyte imbalance known to cause seizure causing cyanosis
