Obtaining a complete history is an critical aspect in making a clinical diagnosis of Microscopic polyangiitis.As it can help differentiate between the Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies(ANCA) associated vasculitis and other possible causes that may mimic the disease. There are many similarities that are present between ANCA associated vasculitis and Microscopic polyangiitis. A history and clinical symptoms can help assess the disease.

History and Symptoms

History

Obtaining a complete history is an important aspect in making a clinical diagnosis of Microscopic polyangiitis. As it can help differentiate between the ANCA associated vasculitis and other possible causes that may mimic the disease.

Common Symptoms

Common symptoms of Microscopic polyangiitis include:

• Renal inflammation (glomerulonephritis)
• Weight loss

• Skin lesions

• Nerve damage
• Pyrexia

• Weight loss
• Malaise
• Fatigue
• Pyrexia

• Conjunctivitis
• Episcleritis
• Uveitis

• Palpable purpura
• Vesiculobullous lesions

• Mononeuritis multiplex
