Secondary Prevention
- Some measures that might help are:-
- Testing should be done in patients suffering from certain syndromes which are associated with wilms tumor to detect them early.[1][2]
- Genetic counselling may be of some help to parents with a family history of wilms tumor.[3]
- If a patient is suffering from Denys-Drash syndrome then prophylactic bilateral nephrectomy may be considered.[4]
