Overview

Early ERCP is considered safe as well as cost-effective in the treatment of mild to moderate ascending cholangitis

Cost effectiveness of therapy for ascending cholangitis

According to some studies, early ERCP is considered safe as well as cost effective in the treatment of mild to moderate ascending cholangitis. It reduces the duration of hospital stay and antibiotics are needed for fewer days thus making it a cost effective intervention[1]
