Primary prevention of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma depends on the type of risk factor causing the disease.

Modifiable risk factors:

• Hepatitis C.

Non-modifiable risk factors:

• Age > 50.
• Male gender.
• Race - White.
• Hereditary- Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance
