FMF usually affects individuals of the Turkish, Armenian, Jewish and Arabic communities.^[1]

FMF affects men and women equally. However, recent studies showed a slight male preponderance.^[2]

This disorder is most commonly seen in Turkey, followed by Armenia.^[3]^[4]
