Overview

Ultrasonography is done for routine investigation of biliary disease.
It can reveal gallstones and cholecystitis.
It can also reveal eveidence of Mirizzi’s syndrome such as atrophic gallbladder, ectatic common hepatic duct with normal distal common bile duct, or edematous gallbladder. ^[1]
