Overview
An x-ray may be helpful in the diagnosis of tracheitis. Findings on an x-ray suggestive of tracheitis include subglottic narrowing, tracheal narrowing and irregularity of tracheal mucosal wall due to edema and exudative membranes. Pulmonary infiltrates due to bronchopneumonia are frequently seen as a complication of tracheitis. [1]
