• liver biopsy is indicated in patients with acute liver failure, patients with persistent laboratory abnormalities for more than 6 months and in patients without a clear diagnosis.
• Findings of liver biopsy in Alcoholic Hepatitis include:
• Alcoholic hepatitis
  • Polymorphonuclear infiltration
  • Hepatic necrosis
  • Mallory bodies in hepatocytes
  • Perivenular and perisinusoidal fibrosis
  • Ballooning hepatocytes
