Medical Therapy
There are no specific treatment options that help the cilia work appropriately, the main goal is to address underlying issues related to PCD. Few treatment options are;
- Antibiotics targeted to treat lung or sinus infections
- Airway clearance techniques, including breathing and coughing exercises like incentive spirometry to maintain clear airways to avoid superinfections.
