- Thyroid disease
- Hypothalamic dysfunction
- Pituitary gland dysfunction
- Androgen-secreting ovarian/adrenal tumors
- Polycystic ovarian disease

- Cervical stenosis (Narrowing of the cervix and blockage of the outlet)
