Epigastric is an adjective which means "of, relating to or characterised by the epigastrium". An abdominal pain or an abdominal viscus might be described as "epigastric". The superior and inferior epigastric arteries are considered an important feature of the anterior abdominal wall. Severe Epigastric pain can be one of many indicators of Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI).
