A hydrosalpinx is a blocked fallopian tube filled with fluid. The blocked tube may become substantially distended with fluid. Hydrosalpinx may be diagnosed using ultrasound, or by laparoscopy, or by using a hysterosalpingogram (HSG), a type of X-ray designed that uses a contrast agent to image the fallopian tubes.
