Foreskin coverage index
Overview
The Foreskin Coverage Index is a standard for measuring the amount of foreskin which covers the glans penis of an individual adult male. It was developed by Paul Sherriff, a foreskin restorer. The index ranges from coverage index (CI) 1 -10, with 1 for those with very little skin and these include those who were very heavily circumcised. CI 10 on the other hand refers to those with very long foreskins which completely covers the glans whether it is in the flaccid or erect state.
The coverage index is often used by foreskin restorers as a benchmark for evaluating progress in non surgical foreskin restoration with CI 4 being considered the most important milestone for any would be restorer as it is the stage where the foreskin begins to cover the rim of the glans.
