Overview
Patients with NCC frequently develop arrhythmias.
Atrial Arrhythmias
25% of patients with NCC develop atrial fibrillation[1][2]. Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia has also been observed [3].
Ventricular Arrhythmias
Up to 47% of patients develop ventricular arrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death accounts for half the deaths in a series of patients with isolated left ventricular noncompaction[4][5][6][7]
Heart Block
Complete heart block has been observed in patients with NCC[8][9].
