Annular pancreas is a congenital birth defect. Certain conditions may be associated with annular pancreas, these are:
- Down syndrome
- Other congenital gastrointestinal problems
- Pancreatitis
- Excessive amniotic fluid during pregnancy (polyhydramnios)
