Appearance of the Patient

Hepatitis A is manifested here as icterus, or jaundice of the conjunctivae and facial skin‎

• Patients may have fever with temperatures upto 40°C.
• Jaundice with scleral icterus.
• Hepatomegaly with right upper quadrant tenderness may be present
• Splenomegaly
• Ascites
• Encephalopathy in case of decompensation.
