Physical Examination
The intracranial pressure (pressure around the brain) may rise, causing papilloedema (swelling of the optic disc, leading to visual obscurations). In severely raised intracranial pressure, there may be signs of depressed level of consciousness, rising blood pressure, falling heart rate and abnormal posturing.[1]
