Tinea faciei is a fungal infection of the face. It generally appears as a red rash on the face, followed by patches of small, raised bumps. While treating, skin may peel. If it takes longer than a few weeks to heal, contact doctor.
Medication prescribed typically contains cephalexin, sold in the in pill form. One known type is Keflex. Usually dosage amount 500 MG up to 750 MG. It also is contagious just by touch and can spread easily to all regions of skin.
