Overview

MRI

Cardiac MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) appears to be not only helpful in the localization of inflammation and targeting of endomyocardial biopsy but also seems to be helpful in the diagnosis of myocarditis.[1] This new technology may be helpful in reducing the percentage of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and discovering an etiology to the dilated cardiomyopathy in some of these patients.
