I graduated my primary medical degree (MBBS) in 1986 from university of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, got my postgraduate qualification in Chest diseases & Tuberculosis (DTCD) in 1992, got fellowship of the American college of chest physicians (FCCP) in 1996 and membership of the Royal college of general practioners UK (MRCGP) in 2007.
