Medical Therapy

The drug of choice for the treatment of uncomplicated strongyloidiasis is ivermectin with albendazole as the alternative. All patients who are at risk of disseminated strongyloidiasis should be treated. (Albendazole is approved by the FDA, but considered investigational for this purpose).
