Overview
Various heart conditions can cause hypoperfusion of brain. This hypoperfusion can be a cause of confusion. Electrocardiogram helps us identifying any associated heart conduction problems and aids in diagnosis.
Electrocardiogram
Hypoxia of brain causes confusion. At times confusion can result from inadequate perfusion of brain tissue due to cardiac dysfunction. Electrocardiogram will be of great use to evaluate the underlying heart conditions. Certain conditions like MI, heart blocks can cause low perfusion. Atrial arrythymias like flutter, fibrillation may cause decrease in perfusion of various tissues.
