Anhidrosis means lack of sweating. It is also known by a number of other names including Adiaphoresis[1][2][3][4], Ischidrosis[5], Hypohidrosis, Oligidria, Oligohidrosis and Sweating deficiency.
Causes
It may be caused by underactivity of the sympathetic nervous system. Eccrine sweat glands are innervated via muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. Hence antimuscarinic drugs cause anhidrosis.
