Bangladesh government assigned me as a Medical Officer incharge in SKKRC in order to renovate the hospital for Kala Azar research centre with a view to making a center of excellence. The centre has 20 beds and currently services all sorts of Kala Azar and Post Kala Azar Dermal Leishmaniasis (PKDL) patients like treatment failure, relapse or with comorbid diseases. The Hospital has BSL level-2 small laboratory facilities equipped with molecular lab, PCR lab, IF Microscopy. Besides routine test and small procedure like splenic and bone marrow aspiration are regularly done. Here along with the responsibility, I am doing a small study for thesis part in FCPS (infectious diseases and Tropical Medicine). I am the first post graduate student who is going to appear the final part of this fellowship. This hospital is run under supervision of CDC, Govt and Director, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

SK Hospital is an infectious unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. I am simultaneously acting as a charge of the hospital. This hospital most commonly encountered diarrhoea patients having two wards. There is also a Tuberculosis ward , Tetanus ward where regularly 2/3 patients are getting treatment. Occasionally Vericella , Measeles , Rabies , Diptheria etc are also got admitted . Hospital has the facilities of rabies vaccine and ARS .This hospital has 20 staff and 50 beds. I have the full accountability regarding patients’ management and administrative work. Immediate before the present posting I was worked in rural area. Three Community Clinics at village level and one Union Health Complex were under my supervision. I regularly visited community clinics monitored primary health services including free dispense of common drugs, Family Planning and EPI vaccination programme. In Union Health Complex outdoor patient were managed on daily basis. I have keen interest in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases commonly Malaria, Visceral Leishmaniasis, Filariasis, Tuberculsosis, Meningitis, Rabies, Typhoid fever, Dengue , Rickettssia and other infectious diseases that are prevalent in the country. I have also particular fascination in clinical toxicology and toxinology. During my post graduation training I worked on management of pesticide poisoning and venomous snake bite. I presented several papers in home and abroad ; presently involve in numbers of national and international research work. The work of the experience started from the field level gained practical experiences.
