Student researcher at UMass Amherst (Present)
- This is an assistantship in Dr. Stephen Rich's lab, studying diseases spread by arthropods in laboratory settings.

The Shaman's Pharmacy (August 2013)
- This was a field immersion experience in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest studying local culture and indigenous medicine practices with an emphasis on plants containing bioactive material.

Student research program at UMass Amherst
- This is a research training program with Dr. Stephen Rich, studying diseases spread by arthropods in laboratory settings.
Independent thesis with Smith College
- This is an exploration of physician perspectives regarding integrative medicine - physicians practicing a form of alternative medicine in conjunction with the prevailing biomedical model of medical practice were interviewed and their responses analyzed under a sociological and public health-related lens. The purpose is to study the physician-patient relationship and barriers to effective practice under these circumstances.

Scientific Connections Student Academic Program (RAP) at UMass Amherst
- This was a student-professor collaboration in a student-designed study in a formal laboratory setting.
- Tested the boiling points of various substances in common tobacco cigarettes in the hope of studying safer ways of tobacco intake.
