• Discontinuation of analgesics:
  • Prevents further damage and renal function may recover to normal level
• Adequate hydration with normal saline:
  • Correction of volume depletion
• Treatment of infections with antibiotics:
  • Prevents further deterioration
• Correction of electrolyte disturbances and systemic acidosis
• Control of severe hypertension
