Bilateral nephrectomy and kidney transplantation have been performed successfully, in two patients with severe neonatal Bartter syndrome.

- In Bartter syndrome, kidney transplantation is rarely performed who develop end-stage renal disease due to concurrent renal disease or the effects of chronic volume depletion, electrolyte abnormalities, drug-related side effects, and/or nephrocalcinosis.[1][2][3][4]
