Overview
In an analysis of 4518 HIV-infected patients it was found that more than half of the participants (51.5%) had either minor or major ECG abnormalities. Minor ECG abnormalities (48.6%) were more common than major ECG abnormalities (7.7%) [1].
Electrocardiogram
Possible EKG abnormalities in HIV infected patients include:
- QT prolongation
- Supraventricular ectopics
- Ventricular ectopics
- Non-specific ST-T changes
- Non-specific Q-QS abnormalities
