Overview
Magnetic Resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) may help diagnose Choledocholithiasis and has replaced endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram ECRP as the gold standard for diagnosis of choledocholithiasis. Findings on MRI suggestive of/diagnostic of Choledocholithiasis include filling defect within the biliary tree. No MRCP is needed if the diagnosis is already made with Ultrasound, and therapeutic ERCP is recommended.
